Insanely incredibly deliciously amazing. Their sauce is a sacred treasure. Could not recommend enough.

Always great sandwiches & desserts with more wine to choose from than you though possible in such a small place. The Trainwreck is my fav but they don't have tomatoes!🤣🤣 Local favorite for decades & a must stop for seasonal folks.

One of my favorites in northern Mi! Amazing sandwiches.. fresh soft bread, tasty meats and very filling! They dont offer tomato and they take cash only!

Even thought it's a liqueur store they have some damn good sandwiches. If you don't have a Gurney's sandwich for lunch with your friend out there then consider yourself excommunicated. I know the Wequetonsing sailing team go to the point every Thursday during their day camp in the summer for the residence and the lunch to bring is a Gurney's sandwich, a can of Vernor's Ginger Ale and a Tom's Mom's Cookie. They give you a pretty good selection of bread along with some great meat and fresh veggies along with a good variety of dressings. They even have their own type of sandwich specials that you wouldn't think would taste good. Once you have a sandwich from their you will forget Subway ever was a thing.

As I am not old enough to drink I cannot rate the liquor portion of the store, but they make the BEST deli sandwiches. They do not have tomato but that isn't an issue as i think the sandwiches don't need them. They give you a good ratio of bread to meet to veggies and sauce with the bread being a good inch thick slice and put down a lot of meet to match. They also have some good brownies with a fudge frosting layer that was really good and would recommend for any chocolate lover.

Best sandwiches ever! Fresh baked bread, fresh ingredients, absolutely delicious. Bring cash as they do not accept cards. No tomatoes or sprouts on their sandwiches either! They also have an extensive selection of liquor if that's what you're in to.

Delicious food!

Drove over an hour to take my family to this spot. Its a past summer favorite of mine. Out of so many things, even out of lettuce, turkey, white bread, and so much more. Hungry we we were going to make the best of it, and just get what they did have. But its cash only..so we got to leave empty handed..guess its gone down hill since i came yrs ago..

would be a 5 if you were open on sundays when visitors are in town

Greatest place on the planet. I could live off of these sandwiches. There isn't a better deli on the planet, I assure you. Stop looking. It's cash only, but don't complain because your mouth is about to orgasm. Don't eat all of the pastrami and chicken salad or I'll poop in your shoe.

A popular sandwich stop for good reason! Bread tastes fresh and food tastes great. The Train Wreck seems to be a crowd favorite. For those who like a little "zing", ask for spicy pepper cheese, banana peppers and dijon mustard.

I really don't get this place. It's a package liquor store that has virtually no selection and they only take cash or checks - stupid; They make sandwiches there but usually when we get there the have run out of basic sandwich ingredients. On our last visit just after noon on a Monday, they had already run out of most bread choices, no tomatoes, no sprouts, no corned beef. This happens EVERY time! Even the owner and the help are definitely not happy to have to do anything. Will never, I mean ever waste my time or money to eat there. Locals love it. Such a.cool town-such a lousy excuse for a local business. Don't eat there, really...

Love Gurney's.... If you are in Harbor Springs you need to go their little party store. They are famous for their sandwiches like The Trainwreck.

Sandwiches are SO good!!! It is so funny that this liquor store sells sandwiches but it was seriously the best cold sandwich I've ever had!! They load on the meat and their homemade bread is delicious!! If you are in the area, you must try it! Note: They don't offer tomatoes as toppings on their sandwiches.

Absolutely perfect spot for a sandwich!! The Trainwreck is amazing!! The homemade thick sliced bread really seals the deal along with all the fresh veggies. My go to is the Trainwreck with Fritos and a Jasmine tea. Don't forget to ask for a pickle on the side!!

Gurney is the best sandwich shop in the US. Their home made bread is to die for! They also have a large variety of liquor choices, since it is a "bottle shop." Employees are so friendly and helpful! A need for any Northern Michigan adventures!
